In April of 1969, the first idea for a New Orleans-based placement firm was established by Bill Troth. It was called Electronic Systems Personnel then later changed to Accounting Personnel Consultants.
Since that time, the firm has grown from the three specializations of Accounting and Finance, Engineering and Technical, and Information Technology to include Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Clerical and Administrative. Thus the change of names from Accounting Personnel Consultants and Engineering Personnel Consultants to a more inclusive and encompassing name, The Personnel Consulting Group.
The mission statement is very brief but to the point: "Meeting Needs, Changing Lives." It's PCG's history, and by the grace of God, it will be PCG's future.
The bottom line of what we do is not a "transaction." Our results are measured by the long term success of individuals in the position for which they have been recruited – and that means success for the companies in which they work as well. We know we are doing our job when our clients continue to come back to us for their recruiting needs and professionals thank us for locating them for the right position.
