Description

Our profitable, stable property development & management client is seeking a Divisional Controller to add to their team. This role will offer the opportunity to oversee full cycle accounting of 6-7 companies comprised of real estate assets. This is a great opportunity to expand your skill set to encompass all aspects of the real estate, management, and construction industry while being part of a privately held family work environment reporting to a great accounting manager. Must be comfortable visiting asset sites throughout the week including “in town” travel with an occasional trip to New Orleans for the day.

Skills

Must be proactive and have a “go getter” attitude. Must be adept at recognizing operational efficiencies and comfortable being hands on in the details of day-to-day accounting.

Qualifications

Construction accounting experience strongly preferred. Operational accounting  experience a plus. The Divisional Controller must be proactive and hands on. Accounting or finance degree required. CPA exam eligibility preferred.

 

Responsibilities

The Divisional Controller will be responsible for working in conjunction with the Accounting Manager to oversee the financial and operation accounting and management of properties within the assigned asset portfolio. Must be comfortable communicating regularly with a variety of operational personal of varying levels of experience.
