EH&S & Operational Excellence Manager facilitates the deployment of the company Operational Excellence Management System including EH&S Standards, processes and tools.
Job Responsibilities:- Leads OEMS implementation & continual improvement at St. James site including implementation of EH&S processes, systems and standards
- Ensures OE expectations, priorities and performance are known to stakeholders
- Provides coordination of Responsible Care® compliance and drives implementation of RC principles
- Identifies patterns and trends to determine if OEMS is delivering intended outcomes
- Performs analysis of EH&S performance and develops projects that manage EH&S risks and drive improvement
- Leads EH&S technical resources to provide support of site EH&S compliance and performance improvement processes
- Provides subject matter expertise to other members of site staff and frontline supervisors on the application and use of EH&S standards.
- Provides strategic guidance and influence on matters of EH&S to St. James Leadership
- Participates in the development of annual site goals and annual Management System Review.
- Leads complex root cause investigations when required by the organization.
- Serves as corporate (2nd Level) EH&S auditor in areas of expertise.
- Monitors and evaluates applicable industry standards and best practices for adoption into the company safety procedures.
- Maintains and communicates EH&S metrics to stakeholders via a variety of media
- Regularly assesses continual improvement mechanisms, inputs and outputs for continued effectiveness.
- Coordinates with EH&S Team, Conduct of Operations and Site Management to reinforce positive behaviors to meet desired performance
- B.S. in Science or Engineering field
- 8-10 years experience in petrochemical industry with advanced experience in operations management and EH&S/personal safety management at site/company level

- Environmental Air Specialist
- Environmental Waste/Water Specialist
- Process Safety Engineer
- Emergency Services Specialist
- Industrial Hygiene Specialist (50/50 share with HQ)
