The Divisional Controller is a member of the Finance team in Louisiana and is responsible for supervision of general accounting, internal controls and financial reporting for the Southern regions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and review account fluctuations as part of the month end closing process
  • Analyze month-end financial results, provide variance analysis, research financial fluctuations/questions and ensure transparency
  • Ensure proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP
  • Assists in development of corporate policies and procedures. Ensures adherence to accounting guidance and internal policies and procedures.
  • Support external audits of company’s financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Support external tax compliance
  • Oversee proper coding and allocation of overhead expenses
  • Assist with preparation of annual P&L and capex budgets
  • Provide treasury support
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement process improvements
  • Support corporate system implementation projects
  • Strong Excel skills with experience in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience with working with all levels of the organization.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in progressive accounting-based or general ledger roles; financial reporting experience and multi-company intercompany activity preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in US GAAP including chart of accounts, journal entries, balance sheets, and reconciliations
  • At least 2 years of experience supervising and accounting staff
