We are partnering with a local oil and gas organization that is on the search for the next strategic CIO. The Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides strategic and operational direction in the design, development, installation and support of information systems and technology to ensure our continued growth and success. In addition to having overall responsibility for the direction and management of IT business and technology-based functions, the position is responsible for the effective and efficient utilization of resources and building strong relationships with the leadership team, key stakeholders, and department managers.
Job Responsibilities:- Functions as a key member of the senior management team and as an advisor and leader to management and operations on information technology matters.
- Supports the mission and values of client and ensures that information systems and information technology strategies align with that mission and vision.
- Oversees the development of IT systems that support and strengthen client as a robust, fully integrated network.
- Develops and communicates the information systems strategic plan and vision at all levels of the organization.
- Supports and implements best practices and procedures around cyber security.
- Builds strong relationships with business leadership and stakeholders to build trust and support, and to optimize customer satisfaction at all levels.
- Develops standards and procedures for the selection, implementation, integration, and support of systems.
- Monitors the productivity of information systems resources and manages those resources in a cost-effective, flexible, and timely manner.
- Oversees information security policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and appropriate levels of internal controls.
- Demonstrate appropriate staffing and budgetary management to remove performance barriers and maximize available resources.
- Mentors, develops, and hires a strong, service-oriented information systems management team.
- Maximizes staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and performance evaluation.
- Ensures that the management structure supports the effective delivery of systems and the provision of excellent service and assures the integrity of the information systems infrastructure and applications.
- Furthers the development of a methodology that balances requests for technologies and services with available resources and prioritizes the projects and services to be provided
- In depth experience in application development, enterprise systems management, cyber security, experience with IT shared support and managed services where the environment is outsourcing dependent.
- Breadth of experience leading and performing IT governance leadership where strategic client relationship management, road mapping and project prioritization is managed effectively with change control and executive committee approval.
- Demonstrated success and expertise in broad-based information technology leadership, including past successes implementing processes, systems, and technologies in support of an effective shared services operation that achieves high customer satisfaction, implementation of innovative technologies, realized fiscal performance and gains, stable systems, and business networks with a high degree of end user satisfaction using business applications.
- Ability to provide leadership and vision in the advancement towards a future state of IT systems and capabilities while assuring attention to details and timelines.
