The credit manager position is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses. Additionally, the credit manager is responsible for the collection of all current and past due accounts receivable.
Job Responsibilities:- Principal accountabilities include management, credit operations, and collection operations. The person in this role will directly supervise 6 people but will also be very hands-on.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of credit and collection experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business and experience with credit scoring systems (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of credit-related laws and lien laws in multiple states
- Have considerable experience with customer negotiations
- Experience with credit scoring systems
