We are partnering with a local construction contractor that provides construction services in various spaces, including commercial, civil, industrial, pre-fabrication, historic, healthcare, hospitality, design-build, self-perform, multi-family, urban mixed-use, and arts and culture. They are searching for an IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company’s IT networks, computer hardware, and software programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize, install, and support the company’s IT systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
- Determine the company’s IT systems needs.
- Install network hardware and software.
- Ensure that the company’s IT systems are operating correctly and make upgrades and repairs as needed.
- Maintain the company’s IT network and computer system security.
- Manage access control and security camera equipment.
- Evaluate and optimize the company’s IT network and systems performance.
- Add and delete users to and from the company’s IT network and various software programs.
- Experience with ConnectWise and Microsoft 365 Administration, including SharePoint and Teams.
- Exceptional relationship building, listening, and communication skills.
- Experience with designing, establishing, and maintaining infrastructures for local and wide area connectivity and remote access.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and attain the best possible outcomes for an organization.
- Assign and update security permissions on the company’s IT network and various
- software programs.
- Train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
- Interpret and solve problems when a user or an automated monitoring system alerts them
- that a problem exists.
- Manage the company’s computer servers and its desktop and mobile equipment.
- Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly.
- Ensure that employees’ workstations are working efficiently and stay connected to the
- network.
- Manage the company’s telecommunication networks.
- Participate in decisions about purchasing hardware and software to upgrade the
- Company’s network.
- Provide technical support to computer users.
- Supervise IT personnel.
- Create cost efficiencies through process improvement.
- Support and drive utilization of various company initiatives and technologies.
- Assist with establishing departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating
- procedures.
- Assess training needs and devise innovative solutions to maximize.
- Collaborate with business units to enhance efficiencies within their areas through
- technical support and innovation.
- Build relationships with vendors and create cost efficient contracts.
- Uphold brand standards.
