Individual is responsible for providing process engineering support for chemical manufacturing plant capital projects. The individual will work with in-house process engineers to understand existing technologies and Parksite standards while evaluating new potential tenant and project development opportunities for integration including ways to reduce usage and energy consumption, improve yields, minimize waste and increase occupancy from a process engineering view while maintaining or improving safety and environmental compliance. The individual will work with a cross-functional project team to develop the projects including ensuring the projects comply with all environmental and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements of the Parksite.
Job Responsibilities:- Evaluate potential project technologies for integration into Parksite synergies.
- Work with Project Team to evaluate OSBL costs and integration of new potential tenant technologies.
- Identify improvements & optimization opportunities for better integration of potential tenants and new project technologies.
- Work with in-plant Operations and Engineering to implement projects in order to prepare for future integration of new tenant technologies.
- Develop and evaluate Process Flow Diagrams and Heat & Material Balances for new projects.
- Estimate energy and material usages under varying plant circumstances.
- Advise on current utility system capacities and plan and forecast shortfalls based on future projects.
- Draft operating procedures based on new tenant technologies.
- Develop training plans for operators based on new tenant technologies.
- Knowledge of process modeling & simulation software such as ASPEN or HYSYS.
Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, computer software and services, and current chemical engineering technology. - 3-5 years of related experience in a chemical, petrochemical or petroleum production/refining facility. Job grade will be based on experience and performance.
- Project Execution Team experience.
- Minimum Required: BS in Chemical Engineering or related degree
