The Personnel Consulting Group
The Operations Controller will possess an understanding of financial accounting standards and procedures. The individual in this position will apply their knowledge to properly provide analysis and recommendations to management.
Job Responsibilities:- Analyze processes performed at both locations/regions regarding contracts, material management, purchasing and billing
- Manage members of the accounting, payroll, purchasing and administrative team
- Provide recommendations and implement improvements to processes and systems
- Possess an understanding of finance and accounting pertaining to sales, inventory, COGS and margin analysis
- Review, investigate, and resolve errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items
- Provide financial information/support to operations managers/core management team
- Aid in developing internal processes and best practices for overall financial reporting
- Reconcile bank and GL accounts for month-end entries, write-offs and accruals
- Assist in developing budgets and projections
- Provide Management with various monthly Reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis
- Some previous supervisory experience
- Strong accounting systems experience along with good Excel skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral format and execute with minimal supervision
- Organizational skills to meet all deadlines throughout the month and during month end
- Excellent time management, communication, and leadership
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment due to growth
