Contract Staffing - Long Term Sense For Short Term Needs
Most people are familiar with the conventional employee-employer relationship, where a person is hired by a company in a long-term relationship at which an employee could spend their entire career. When a company needs employees on a shorter-term basis, to handle a backlog or a “spike” in the workload, the company has two choices:
First, they can spend the effort and expense to search, interview and hire new employees and then lay them off afterwards, assuming the qualified staff can be found. Or, second, they can call a company such as PCG and hire one of PCG’s employees to do the job.
In the second option, the company contracts PCG to provide staff for the job. When the job is completed, the PCG employee leaves the client for reassignment to another job. All contract staff benefits (vacation, holidays, etc.) are paid by PCG. Contract staffing greatly reduces cost, paperwork and HR functions for the company while giving them instant access to the resources they need.
When there is work to be done and there are not enough workers, we are the reasonable solution. Utilizing our staffing professionals solves the difficulties when you and your staff are impacted by: vacations, maternity leaves, company mergers, peak period workloads, special projects, employee re-assignments, downsizing, employee turnover, illness and unexpected employee absences.
Contract to Direct Hire
When you decide to hire a contract employee who is working for you through our service, hours already worked are credited towards the fee. You can either maintain the employee on our payroll for an agreed upon work-out period or pay a placement fee prorated to give you credit for the hours worked on our payroll.
We are both a direct hire firm and a contract staffing service. By combining both services, we are able to offer a creative hybrid solution to staffing problems. When you have an opening, we can provide you with a contract employee who is looking for a direct hire position. You can make a decision about hiring the employee directly after they have demonstrated satisfactory performance on the job.
Often companies find where they need to bring an individual on board for a short period of time: however, they do not want to add headcount to their staff. This is where PCG can help by paying this individual for you. PCG will cover all of the payrolling cost for a nominal amount of money over the amount of the hourly pay for the candidate.
